A short distance along the coast north of the capital Valletta lies St. Julian's Bay. This area has a concentration of hotels, restaurants, marinas and nightlife which draws in the crowds on a warm summers evening.
Valletta is the capital of the tiny island nation of Malta, sat in the mediteranean sea south and Sicily. It's an ancient city, having been founded by the order of the knights of St John in the sixteenth century, which sits high on a peninsula. There are many old buildings and churches often characterised by the distinctive Maltese balconies protruding from them.
