The Alsace region of France is the thin eastern edge adjoining Germany, stretching from Strasbourg in the North to Mulhouse in the south. It is well know for its distinctive wines found along the Route du Vin with its medieval villages, the Vosges mountains offer skiing, hiking and views across to the Alps.
Paris, the French capital, is famously beautiful with numerous outstanding tourist attractions and subjects for photography. This page shows just a few impages of some of the most well known including Notre Dame and the Louvre museum pyramid.
Provence is the French province in the far south-west of the country stretching from the Italian border and the alps to Avignon, the historic home of many Popes, and Arles with its surviving Roman architecture.
